At 3 pm today, Sun. Jan. 27, the N. Hawk Owl was seen on Oliver's Rd,
perched in a tree behind the barn of Sunset Ridge Farm. This is in the
general location originally reported by John Bick, and his directions were
excellent. It was easily identified by binoculars, and viewed well through
a scope on this fine sunny afternoon.

Directions: From the intersections of Kawartha Lakes Rds 36 and 49,
(formerly Hwy 36 and 49) in Bobcaygeon, drive north on 49 for 2 km. Then
turn left (west) onto Anderson Line, and go about 1 km to the stop sign at
Oliver's Rd. Turn left onto Oliver's, and look for the Hawk Owl near the
first pair of white century farm houses just south, perhaps 1/2 km, along
Oliver's Rd. It was behind and slightly south of the barn on Sunset Ridge
farm on Sunday, Jan.27. It has also been seen on the hydro posts along the
roadside, previously.
