One Hoary Redpoll along with about 35 Common Redpolls are coming to the
feeder behind the Tracs
Outfitting Store in the Village of South River.

The Red-bellied Woodpecker is still present in the Village, but not
currently at our feeder. It rotates through feeders within a 1/2 mile of
hour residence. Stays for a few days then moves to another.

Other than these birds the winter is slow and there are not many birds
coming to feeders.

South River is on Highway #11 about 3 1/2 hours north of Toronto (third
traffic light) and about 3/4 hour south of North Bay. The Tracs store is at
the eastern end of Ottawa Avenue. Turn right at the lights on hwy 11 and
follow Ottawa Avenue until your reach tracks.
