The Smith's Longspur was seen again today, Tuesday, Feb. 5 between 7-9AM.
It came often to the road for grit, often with Horned Larks but sometimes
alone. Also present are many Snow Buntings, 1 Savannah Sparrow, 1 Song
Sparrow, and several Lapland Longspur. The birds fly a lot due to
road traffic. It's also very cold, though not quite as bad as yesterday.

Directions:

Take Hwy 6 south from Caledonia to 2nd Line, Oneida Township, turn
left (east) off 6 and check the weedy fields on the north side of
the road between no. 6 and the power lines to the east. COming from the
south, 2nd line is the 2nd concession road north of Hagersville on Hwy. 6.
