GREATER WHITE-FRONTED G. on lake, Whitby Mar.25

Very little free water at Cranberry in the morn of May 25-- but, 25
N.PINTAILS, 2 BLACK DUCKS and many Mallards hunkered in along with 7
Trumpeters, incl. Crystal (R39) & bro. Zack (R37).
At the roadside feeders -- MALE (first report for a long time)and the
"resident" female PURPLE FINCH, female W-w Crossbill among the other 15 or
more regulars. An 11AM COOPER'S HAWK created a quiert time for a short
while.
On the lake, visible from the foot of Hall's Rd. (noon-hour), were many
Canadas AND the GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE, along with Red-breasted and
Common Mergs, Buffleheads and Goldeneyes.

Hall's Rd. is 1 block east of Lakeridge Rd. along Victoria St. in southwest
Whitby.
