Numerous longtime-no-see Am.Crows, 2 Snow Geese and 2 White-throated
Sparrows were reasonably good birds for the 12 observers on the platform of
the Cranberry Marsh Raptor Watch on Nov.26. But, for 4 hours after 10AM the
hawks started to appear from the east-- among 33 we recorded 1 adult Bald
Eagle, 1 Adult Golden Eagle, 2 late TURKEY VULTURES, 2 Sharp-shinned Hawks,
22 Red-tailed Hawks, 1 Rough-legged Hawk and 1 Merlin.
Cranberry Marsh is near the lakefront at the base of Hall's Rd., it being
accessed south from Bayly/Victoria; Hall's is 1 block east of Lakeridge Rd.
on the Ajax-Whitby border.
