This morning( Sat.Jan 18th) Dave Don et moi spotted a Snowy Owl at pier 26
(where the Piping Plover was) .It was in the middle ground between the
railway tracks and the ships. Since the lift bridge is closed: from points
east of Burlington you must travel over the Burlington skyway bridge; exit
at Woodward Ave and travel back towards the bay to pier 26.
>From Niagara; exit at Hwy 20 (Centennial) and stay on the north service road
(lakeside) past Hutches Restaurant to the lights were you turn left to go
under the QEW to Eastport...then right over to pier 26/ /tac

The Brown Thrasher was seen mid afternoon yesterday(Cheryl Edgecombe & tac)
and this afternoon (Rob Dobos,Dave Don & tac) at the RBG's Valley Inn
area...along the fence line at the beginning of the trail that starts
approx. 100 metres beyond the smallest of the two bridges in the area (below
the Laking gardens area). From Hwy 403 exit onto Hwy 6 North....turn right
at the first lights and travel down to Plains road. ...turn right and look
for the Valley Inn road sign on your left./tac
