A Whip-poor-will was calling this morning in Selkirk Provincial Park at
dawn. Overall migration has almost dried up over the past 4 days with the
cold weather. Except for a few Ruby-crowned Kinglets the woods have been
almost devoid of migrants. Even White-throated Sparrows have all but
disappeared. Several Hermit Thrushes are still present 8 days after
initially being banded.
Selkirk Provincial Park is SW of the village of Selkirk.
