>From Aug.21 to Nov.30 /03 at the Cranberry Marsh Raptor Watch in southwest
Whitby a combination of migrating raptors, Dickcissel, 2 Cave Swallows,
Short-eared Owl and many passerines feeding nearby have kept a great crew of
volunteers and visitors busy.
On Nov. 30 at 0845 a N.GOSHAWK flew in low across the wetland and right
"through me" on a westward path.

Sighted (over the past week)--Pathway birds-- 3White-crowned Sp., 4
White-throated Sp., many Tree Sp.,
several Song Sp., 1 Swamp Sp., both Nuthatches, Blue Jays, Cardinals,
Juncos, REDPOLLS, Pine Siskins, Goldfinches

The table below indicates the number of migrating raptors recorded for the
period of NOV.24 to NOV.30, and in BRACKETS is the TOTAL SINCE AUG.21; with
the exception of SS, BW and AK the counts for the species are above-average
over 14 years.
