For the past four days we have had a yellow variant House Finch frequently
singing in the trees in front of 31 and 33 Sunset Place in Tilbury. The
normally red areas on this bird are replaced with pale yellow. Other birds
of note in the backyard today: Hermit Thrush, Song Sparrow, GC Kinglets. We
had a Broad-winged Hawk, the first of the season, over flying in
mid-afternoon.
To get to Sunset Place turn east on Bond Street off of Queen Street (the
main street) in Tilbury. Sunset is left at the first intersection.
