[Ontbirds] Pine Warblers-Point Pelee-4/17

The first Larry L. Humphrey Bird Hike at Point Pelee on Saturday, April 
17 netted 72 species.  Highlights were:
Pine Warbler - 2 singing males (Black Willow and Sanctuary)
Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher - 1 (Black Willow)
Vesper Sparrow - 1 (West Beach)
Common Loon - 3 (Tip and West Beach)
Horned Grebe - 3 (Tip)
Surf Scoter - 80 (Tip)
Caspian Tern - 2 (Tip and East Beach)
Tree Swallow - 18 (Tip, DeLaurier, Sanctuary)
Rough-winged Swallow - 1 (Sanctuary)
Barn Swallow - 3 (West Beach)
Carolina Wren - 6 (Tildens, West Beach)
Brown Creeper - 18 (various)
Northern Flicker - 40 (various)
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker - 1 male (Tip)
Eastern Phoebe - 1 (Dunes)
Golden-crowned Kinglet - 12 (Visitor Centre, Tip)
Ruby-crowned Kinglet - 50 (various)
Hermit Thrush - 5 (East Beach, Tip)
Northern Mockingbird - 1 (Tip)
Brown Thrasher - 1 (West Beach)
Yellow-rumped Warbler - 15 (various)
Eastern Towhee - 15 (Visitor Centre, Tip, West Beach)
Chipping Sparrow - 15 (various)
Field Sparrow - 5 (Tip, DeLaurier)
Savannah Sparrow - 4 (Tip, Visitor Centre, West Beach)
Fox Sparrow - 1 (Tip)
White-throated Sparrow - 100 (various)
Dark-eyed Junco - 25 (Tip, Visitor Centre, DeLaurier)
Meadowlark sp. - 1 (south of former Maintenance Area- north end of 
Anders Field) uttering an odd, single croaking note unlike any Eastern 
or Western I've heard!
Rusty Blackbird - 1 (Visitor Centre)
