[Ontbirds] Willet, Am.Bittern along with 16 Broad-wingeds at Cranberry-Aug.21

7 hours of diligent work at the Cranberry Marsh Raptor Watch on Aug.21 by 17
observers paid off with some great birds-- juv.Am.Bittern entertained us
right below the platform for over an hour; a Willet flew south over the
wetland in the early afternoon; 45 migrating hawks were noted-- 5 Osprey, 4
N.Harrier, 4 Sharp-shinned, 3 Red-tailed, 16 Broad-winged, 6 Am.Kestrel, 1
Merlin and 6 Unidentifieds. Other birds-- Great Egret, 2 Red-breasted
Nuthatch, B-g Gnatcatcher, Willow Flycatcher, Chimney Swifts.

East on the 401 to Salem Rd. exit, south to Bayly/Victoria, east through
Lakeridge to the first street east--Hall's Rd. --south to the second parking
lot, north of the lakefront.
