[Ontbirds] Whimbrel & Pectoral Sandpipers Rock Point P. P., NE Lake Erie

June 6 -  Today at Rock Point Provincial Park 6 shorebird  species:
an earlier than usual Whimbrel
Pectoral Sandpiper
13 Least Sandpipers
8 Lesser Yellowlegs, 11 Spotted Sandpipers, & 14 Killdeer
At Morgan's Point Jim Pawlicki and I added a Short-billed  Dowitcher for the 
7th shorebird species.
the Cattle Egret(s) were not found today after a rather extensive  search.
Rock Point P.P. is on the northeast shore of Lake Erie about 30 miles west  
of Fort Erie, Ontario, Buffalo, NY, and the source of the Niagara River. It can 
 be reached from the east by taking Regional Road 3 west until you arrive at  
Niece Road. Take Niece Road about 2 miles west to Rock Point P. P. Morgan's  
Point is about 10 miles east of Rock Point. From Regional Road 3 take Morgan  
Point Road south to the lake.
