Weather:
Today continued cool and breezy on the heals of yesterday’s cold front.
Fairly heavy cloud cover persisted for much of the day with the occasional
brightening of the skies, making it seem like it might clear off at any
time. The winds were fairly strong from the north-northeast. It did
actually become quite sunny by mid afternoon, bringing the best movement
of the day.

Raptor Observations:
The flight before that was actually quite good but interspersed with lulls
in the action. The Turkey Vulture flight was steady for much of the day,
starting strongly in the second hour of the count but the biggest single
push of the day was during the mid afternoon sunny period. Highlighting
the day were three Rough-legged Hawks, the first of this species recorded
this season as well as our first dark-morph Red-tail seen this year.
