Hi Everyone
There was a Cattle Egret at the east end of Amherst Island yesterday,
November 5th and it was still present today feeding along side the cattle.
The egret was easily visible from Lower Forty Foot Road. At the gravel bar
yesterday, 2 Purple Sandpipers were observed. The "Owl Woods" had 3
Long-eared Owl, yesterday and a Barred Owl today. Viewing conditions were
excellent on Nov. 5th and a total of 266 Common Loons were counted on the
south shore of the island.
