At Fisherville today, I saw a parliament of short-eared owls (at least 9,
maybe more) roosting in trees, on the ground, and flying around. There were
also 2 pairs of rough-legged hawks, 2 red-tails, 1 northern harrier and 1
turkey vulture.

To get to the owls:

Take Hwy 6 South of Hamilton to Hagersville. At the lights after Tim
Hortons, turn left onto Road 20 (King Road). There is no sign saying this
is Road 20 and very difficult to see and read the King Road signage. Turn
right on 53, The owls are on Concession Road 6 between 53 and 12 just north
of Fisherville. Coming from 53, the preserve is just past a dip in the road
with a creek in it. The house where the owls roost is #343.

Good Birding
