The Red-necked Grebes in Bronte Harbour are attempting a second nest on the same floating tire as before. This evening there were five eggs in the nest. Two were unsoiled indicating that they were layed recently. The juvenile bird from the first nesting was absent on my visits on the weekend as well as this evening.

The Cliff Swallow colony seems to be finished nesting for the year.

Directions: Exit the QEW at Bronte Road (Oakville) and go to the lake. The nest is just east of the Lighthouse Restaurant on Ontario Street.
