Seventeen birders joined Terry Sprague today at the south-east tip of Prince
Edward County for a tour of the Price Edward Point Wildlife Area..

A total of 79 species including 17 warbler species were seen.

Highlights included excellent views of Cape May warblers and Northern Parula
Warblers. Blue-gray Gnatcatchers were much in evidence including a pair
tending a nest at eye level close to the road. Birders had an opportunity to
compare Red-shouldered Hawk and Red-tailed Hawks that were circling together
overhead.

An additional highlight was a visit to the banding station to see the
banding activity.

OFO thanks Terry Sprague for once again leading an excellent trip.
