[Ontbirds]Presqu'ile Rn Phalarope, Western Sandpiper, Whimbrel

Greetings all,

The Red-necked Phalarope was still at Owen Point this morning,  
feeding along the edge of the algae and water.  Also present was a  
Whimbrel, a juv. Western Sandpiper, half a dozen Baird's (juv) and  
White-rumps (adults) and lots of the usual suspects up close allowing  
for great viewing.  At least two imm. Merlins were giving them some  
grief.

Directions:  Presqu'ile is located on the north shore of Lake  
Ontario, south of Brighton.  Take Hwy 30 from the 401 and follow  
south into town then follow the park signs.  Owen Pt. is the southern  
most tip of the beach.
