Weather:
There was a gentle wind from the west, gradually becoming stronger to about
8 to 10 mph. A relatively low ceiling of clouds allowed only sporadic
patchy openings of sun with temperatures hovering just above freezing.

Raptor Observations:
Red-tailed Hawks made up the flight today (19), with a couple of highlights
including a low-flying Golden Eagle and an adult Red-shouldered Hawk. The
rest was a trickle of birds consisting of singles of Turvey Vulture, Bald
Eagle, Northern Harrier, and Cooper's Hawk.

Non-raptor Observations:
A flock of 50 Snow Buntings passed by the count. Scaup numbered in the
hundreds today with a single Common Loon near the southern tip of Celeron
Island. A Yellow-rumped Warbler flew into the nearby trees and American
Tree Sparrow and Swamp Sparrow were common call-notes heard while scanning
the skies.
