The male townsend's warbler that was found this morning at Rondeau was still present in the same location from about 5:00 until 7:30 this evening. At least 30 of us watched it catching insects over this period of time. It was quite active and was seen on both sides of the road (Harrison Trail) behind the maintenance building heading to the pony barn.
Also seen along this short stretch of road included: Prairie, kentucky, golden-winged, and blue-winged warblers, as well as about 15 of the more common warbler species.
Rondeau Provincial Park is at the southern end of Kent Rd. 15 in Chatham-Kent.
