[Ontbirds] spring migrants at Dokis 1st Nation (French River)

Today Andrew Ryckman and I were working in the bush south of the French River.   Warbler diversity was up significantly over yesterday's wet cold weather.  Warbler species included yellow-rumped, black-throated greens, pine, ovenbird, black-and-white, nashville, northern parula, blackburnian and northern waterthrush.  Sparrows were white-throateds and swamp.  Purple finches are also about.  Other birds noted included brown creepers, swainsons thrush, hermit thrush and barred owl...

Dokis Reserve is located east of Noelville on the French River.  It is accessed from Highway 69 to Highway 64 to Dokis Road.  It is approximately 1 hour south of Sudbury
