Good evening Ontbirders.

Birders at Rondeau enjoyed a bright sunny afternoon, and perhaps their
first sunburn of the season. In the birding department, fifteen
species of warblers, plus one hybrid were reported today. The best
trails were South Point and Spicebush.

Aside from warblers, noteworthy songbirds included Summer Tanager
along Lakeshore Road and White-eyed Vireo on South Point Trail.
Recently-arrived Wood Thrushes shared the birding trails with
late-departing Hermit Thrushes.

The Cattle Egret reported near Rondeau at Erieau Road and Bisnett Road
has now been seen in the same area for a third day, up to early this
evening. Look for a field just east of the intersection with a white
fence. At times, the bird feeds in a low ditch alongside the field,
so some scanning and patience (and luck!) may be required.

Good birding!
