This morning shortly before 11AM, a singing Blue-winged Warbler was at Britannia\Mud Lake in the open area north of the sumac field. After a couple of minutes, the bird disappeared (presumably flew out of the back of the bush it was in). Efforts to relocate it, despite assistance from a couple of passing birders, were not successful. The bird may still be in the area, however.

Directions: Take Pinecrest exit from 417 west and head north, then turn right on Richmond and left on Poulin. Follow Poulin when it turns left 90 degrees (becomes Howe). Turn next right on Britannia and follow to end (T junction). Turn right on Cassels: Britannia/Mud Lake is a few hundred metres down with trailhead on south (right side) just before the lake. Walk a few metres in, than take trail to the right. After several metres, this trail turns left and goes past a small pond (or big puddle). Shortly after, you will come out in the open area where the blue-winged was seen.
