Any Ontario birder finding themselves in THUNDERBAY will be rewarded with a trip down to Mission Island Marsh for the day-to-day activities of ALOT of Pelicans.
Last Sunday's (July 3rd) count was 46, this Sunday (July 11) was 56. Adults and Juveniles seen group feeding. Small groups will often fly low above the observer for toe-tickling views. Other Species here include Peregrine Falcons, Bald Eagles, Le Conte's Sparrow(heard), Yellow-headed Blackbird (once in May), Mourning Warbler (once in June). Great place for shore birds during migration.

To access, go to the Mission Island Marsh web page. Parking $2 per day, Toilets free.
