Several storm water ponds at the north end of Bradford are in the process of being drained and have attracted sevarl shorebirds as well as Great Blue Herons, a Green Heron, a Double-crested Cormorant and a Belted Kingfisher amongst the ducks and geese. There were 4-5 Greater Yellowlegs, an equal number of Lesser Yellowlegs, and Spotted, Solitary, and Least Sandpipers, and Killdeer this evening. It looks like it might be a promising spot if it's not drained too quickly. Last year I had Baird's and Stilt Sandpipers and Black-bellied Plover there as well. Go north on Hwy. 400 to County Rd. 88. Go east to Prof. Day Drive (Bradford High School is at the corner). Turn Left on to Ptof. Day Drive and go to where it intersects with the 8th Line. "Ponds" are just to the north of 8th Line just west of the intersection.
