Great visits today. A partial list: Richard Naber, Rick Nirschl, Mark
Wloch, Jim Lynch, Rodney Laura, Loren Snyder, Andrew Dettling, John Fulton,
Jack Sanborn, Weezy Sanborn, Kelly McKinne, Kathryn Zimmerman and the
Zaporski Family.

There were clear blue skies as far as the eye could see until the very last
hour when a few cirrus clouds began to materialize. The wind was out of the
north, then the northeast, then the east before finally shifting back to
the north at the end of the day.

Raptor Observations:
Birds were up early with most of today's activity occurring during the
first two hours. When the wind shifted to the east in the early afternoon,
there wasn't much to be seen. Buteos and vultures dominated the totals but
golden eagles again made a strong showing. Another 13 were counted today,
our fourth day of double-digit golden eagle sightings this season.

Non-raptor Observations:
Crows, crows and more crows. American crows were a constant presence
throughout the day. There was a nice flock of about eight dark-eyed juncos
hanging out in the spruce for most of the watch.

Sunny and clear but winds are going to be out of the southeast, which isn't
ideal. There should be some birds out and about but it probably won't be a
big day.
