Observation start time: 06:30:00
Observation end time: 15:00:00
Total observation time: 8.5 hours

Official Counter: Todd Pepper

Observers: Cindy Isenhoff, Claude Radley, Jason Craft, Jim McCoy,
                  Kory Renaud

Visitors:
Brenda and Keith from Ridgetown were back for their 2nd visit.

Weather:
Clear, sunny skies; temperature between 14 and 24.6C; light winds all day
out of the north until 12 EST and then switching to out of the south-west.

Raptor Observations:
418 birds of 10 species, the majority being Broad-wings, Sharpies and
Kestrels. When the wind shifted to the south-west it essentially shut down
migration except for the occasional Sharpie or Kestrel.

Non-raptor Observations:
American Goldfinch - 88

Cedar Waxwings - 48

Ruby-throated Hummingbird - 9

White-rumped Sandpiper - 2

Solitary Sandpiper.

Three Green Herons continue to be very visible in the pond to the
south-east of the hawk tower.

Today may have been the last chance to see the American White Pelicans.

Predictions:
Another clear and sunny day with temperatures from 14 - 26C. Going to be
hot! Winds out of the south-west 15 - 20 km/hr. Certainly not the best
conditions for raptor migration.
