Observation start time: 08:00:00
Observation end time: 15:00:00
Total observation time: 7 hours

Official Counter: Todd Pepper

Observers: Chris Craft, John Craft, Rene Kielbasa

Visitors:
Only two woman from the Toronto area today, and one neighbour from the
seasonal residential area to the east of the conservation area.

Weather:
Rain this morning delayed the start of the count. Temperature ranged form
14 - 19C; winds out of the north-east all day ranging from 5 - 12 km/hr. We
were able to see the sun for only about an hour today.

Raptor Observations:
A moderately slow day with Turkey Vultures making up the majority of the
birds. A total of 667 birds of 9 species were counted.

Non-raptor Observations:
Very little passerine movement again today. Highlights included: 17 Chimney
Swifts; 4,580 Blue Jays and 303 American Goldfinch. Ones only of Kinglet
sp., Eastern Phoebe, Blackpoll Warbler and Yellow-rumped Warbler.

Predictions:
Cloudy with a 70% chance of rain in the morning; temperatures are
forecasted at 16 - 18C; winds are predicted to be out of the south-west all
day from 15 - 20 km/hr. The Sharp-shins and Cooper's should fly, but
probably not much else.
