The male and female pair put on a fine show for cameras all weekend long, often sitting on the ground less than 50m from hordes of birders for 15-45 minutes at a time! This weekend's thaw has provided some great viewing opportunities, as the owls stand out from very far away. As well, they have attracted the attention of the local media, which has brought forth quite a parade of traffic. The nice thing about having a dozen cars pulled over at the side of the road all day long is that it is quite easy to tell exactly where the owls are upon arrival to the area.

Astrid's directions from last week have not changed:
QEW southbound to St. Catharines, exit at 7th St. Louth, turn right onto 7th until you reach 4th Ave Louth. Turn left on 4th Ave Louth until 1st. St. Louth. Turn right on 1st. St. Louth until 5th Ave. Louth. Turn right on 5th. the Owl is in this field on the ground.

Driving GPS coordinates: N 43 8.754 W 79 16.595
