I saw three Eastern Bluebirds today at about 4:30 pm in the western half of
Marie Curtis Park. A male and a female, both in decent colour and a drab
Marie Curtis Park is situated on Lake Ontario at the border of Toronto and
Mississauga. The park is bifurcated by a stream running south into Lake
The west half is reached from the QEW by driving south on Brown's Line
to its end and turning right (west) on Lakeshore Drive. You will, very
soon, pass one street running south to the lake (which also goes to the
east half).
About 300 meters further west, there is an entrance to the park on the left
(south) side which leads southward on a windy road, past an entrance to a
dog park, towards the lake. On the shore of the lake, there is a large
pavedparking lot.
The birds were foraging in the trees immediately north of the parking lot.
