Weather:
It was sunny and clear all morning. After noon, a smattering of puffy white
clouds moved into the viewing area, providing a nice mix of white and blue
to aid spotting. The wind was light to moderate and out of the south and
southeast.

Raptor Observations:
A subdued morning gave way to a far more active afternoon. Northern
Harriers led the way with 12 individuals tallied, a solid early September
showing for this species. Red-tailed Hawk, Bald Eagle and American Kestrel
were moving in good numbers as well. And not to be overlooked,
Sharp-shinned Hawk, Cooper's Hawk and Merlin registered their first
sightings of the season.

Non-raptor Observations:
American White Pelican (13), Green Heron (6), Purple Martin (36), Northern
Rough-winged Swallow (8), Barn Swallow (4), Chimney Swift (3), Mourning
Dove (5), American Goldfinch (18), Cedar Waxwing (32), Killdeer (1),
Black-bellied Plover (6), Forster's Tern (5), Caspian Tern (3), Canada
Goose (25), Northern Flicker (1), Baltimore Oriole (1)

Predictions:
A lot like today, sunny and clear with moderate south wind.
