Overcast early, we were granted progressive clearing as the day wore on.
Temperatures were mild and the wind was light and variable, shifting more
easterly later.

Raptor Observations:
A nice late movement of Broad-winged Hawks kept us after hours today. The
last stream didn't wind its way past the stacks until around 630. Early in
the day, small streams of broadwings were shooting through high overhead,
but as we moved into the late afternoon and the streams grew larger and
longer, most of the birds were observed pushing past well to our north.
Bald Eagles asserted themselves late as well, frequently picked up high
along with small groups of broadwings. Sharp-shinned Hawks were seen
regularly from the late morning on but Cooper's Hawks and American Kestrels
continue to be seen in only limited numbers so far this season.

Non-raptor Observations:
Common Nighthawk (1), American White Pelican (11), Gray Catbird (1), Common
Yellowthroat (1), Red-winged Blackbird (40+)

Partly cloudy in the morning with a 60 percent chance of afternoon rain.
The wind will likely be out of the west and southwest.
