Observers: Dennis Patrick, Gwen Patrick, Jeanece Seals, Jim McCoy,
                  Larry Ludwicki, Phyllis Coble

Visitors:
Visitors from Windsor, Kingsville and British Columbia spent some time on
the tower today.

Weather:
The wind was very calm today, starting from the W and NW and eventually
switching to SW. It was a cool 5C morning that warmed up with the sun and
there was over 20km of visibility.

Raptor Observations:
The morning started off slowly for raptors but with an increase in sun
strength came an increase in Turkey Vulture movement. Red-tailed Hawks and
Red-shouldered Hawks drifted by along with many small specks that were
buteos at a distance. 3 more Golden Eagles flew by the north side of the
marsh.

Non-raptor Observations:
While the larger birds were waiting for the thermals this morning, American
Crows poured by in a constant stream overhead for close to half an hour.
There were over 8000 by the end of the day, with Red-winged Blackbirds,
Starlings and other small passerines mixed among them. American Tree
Sparrows were feeding along the ground and 2 Eastern Bluebirds awed us with
their vibrant feathers as they flitted away from a nearby tree. See today's
eBird list http://ebird.org/ebird/canada/view/checklist?subID=S20384393

Predictions:
Winds from the SW switching to N in the afternoon with a chance of showers
through the day.
