A good number of visitors to the tower this afternoon! A young couple from
Florida came up the tower and we had a nice discussion of migrating
raptors. There was also a couple from London, Ontario that came a visited,
as they do several times a year. Later on in the evening there were a few
family groups with their kids on the tower.

The morning started off nice a cool with a very light wind from the North.
In the afternoon, the wind switched to the NE and we received a few
moderate gusts. Mostly clear skies most of the day made it hard to pick out
many raptors in the sky!

Raptor Observations:
Today was another nice day to watch hawks! Although early morning started
out slower than yesterday's, later on the birds were clearly moving! And
most of them very high!

Non-raptor Observations:
Non-migrant raptors were much slower than yesterdays, only 194 Cedar
Waxwings were noted migrating. Although the slow movement of raptors in the
early morning gave time to try to identify a few more of the warblers going
through, and 9 species were seen from the tower, totaling only 76
individuals. There were 18 Green Darners, 14 Black Saddlebags, and a single
Twelve-spotted Skimmer that were noted migrating past today. Two Monarch
Butterflies were seen migrating.

Tomorrow we are looking at similar temperatures as today, with the wind
starting out in the N, and switching to NE throughout the day.
