Observation start time: 06:00:00
Observation end time: 16:00:00
Total observation time: 10 hours

Official Counter: Sean Jenniskens

Observers: Chuck Sharbaugh, Donald Pye, Jeremy Bensette, Jim McCoy,
                  Kory Renaud, Scott Fauteux

Visitors:
Many visitors to end the first week of the Hawk Festival, though,
unfortunately most migrating raptors were at the very limits of unaided
sight.

Weather:
The morning started out with winds out of the NW, which pushed some raptors
down, but switch to the SW and straight S through the day. Clouds were few
making it hard to find high up raptors.

Raptor Observations:
Good number of birds moving today, though most very high up. Good numbers
of Bald Eagles, and Sharp-shinned Hawks. Also our best Broad-winged Hawk
day so far this year, but many more to come!
One probable Swainson's Hawk was reported at the Hawk Banding station, but
was not found at the Hawk Tower.

Non-raptor Observations:
The morning was fairly busy Warbler wise, many migrating over. 13 species
were identified, and another 69 individuals remained unidentified. 38
Ruby-throated Hummingbirds were noted, though many were missed.
http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist/S31535830
14 Black Saddlebags were noted migrating, as well as 2 Green Darners, and 8
Monarchs.

Predictions:
Light South component winds for all of tomorrow, with clear skies, poor for
Hawks.
