Visitors:
The tower was bustling with people throughout the day. Mike,  who observed
for most of the day, an afternoon appearance from Eric who photographed
from the Tower, an elementary school class, and Frank, Dianne, Matt and
Ron.

Weather:
The wind was moderate mostly from south to west south west. A cold start to
the day soon warmed up to around 14°C. Clear skies all day with good
visibility but a bit hazy in the north throughout the day.

Raptor Observations:
Red-tailed Hawk (30) again led the pack with a lower count of Turkey
Vultures (13) and Golden Eagles (3) appearing between 12:00PM to 2:00PM, to
the north. Other species seen were in low numbers; Red-shouldered Hawk (1),
Northern Harrier (6), Sharp-shinned Hawk (1) and a single Peregrine
Falcon.

Non-raptor Observations:
Duck day again, with more species being seen on the lake including
Bufflehead (12), American Wigeon (2) and a Horned Grebe. Ringed-neck Ducks
(4360) are still leading the way. Still a good variety of small birds
including a Tufted Titmouse, Black-capped Chickadee (2), American Pipit
(2), American Tree Sparrow (2), Purple Finch (2), and Pine Siskin (10).
Cedar Waxwing (434) are still moving through in large numbers.

Predictions:
Tomorrow's forecast shows a southerly wind of 14km/h with the temperature
ranging from 4°C to 16°C. The day should begin sunny, becoming partly
cloudy near the end of the hawk count. Hopefully the early sunshine will
bring more raptors than today.
