Visitors:
A few visitors today. Thanks to Tom B for getting today's count done with
help from Kitty and Jim B, Ken and Laure.
Weather:
Another day with solid cloud cover and light winds from the NE. Temps still
pretty warm starting at 16C and getting to 20C but feeling a bit warmer
with the humidity.
Raptor Observations:
A pretty good flight today on the NE winds with a total of 919 birds
tallied. The bulk of today's flight was Sharpies (643), then Broadwings
(153) and Am Kestrels (77). Decent numbers of Osprey (16) and N. Harriers
(16) with smaller numbers of other species including Bald Eagle, Redtails,
Cooper's Hawk and a single Merlin.
Non-raptor Observations:
None reported.
Predictions:
Monday is likely to be a bit of a wash with light variable winds and
possibly rain and Tuesday is a complete wash out with lots of rain
forecast. Keep an eye on Wednesday and Thursday as winds are forecast to
get back around to the N with a mix of sun and cloud.
