Hi Birders,

It’s a beautiful day in the park with many breeding birds and migrants. We
have seen some reverse migration off the Tip with RED-HEADED WOODPECKER and
BLUE-WINGED WARBLER being noted.

A number of CANADA WARBLERS have been reported. Some in Tilden’s Woods and
some on Woodland Trail. Also MOURNING, WILSON’S, and BLACKPOLL WARBLERS are
becoming more frequent migrants. A pair of RED-HEADED WOODPECKERS are
nesting in a large dead tree on Shuster Trail. SUMMER TANAGERS continue on
Woodland Trail and a WHITE-EYED VIREO was seen at DeLaurier Trail.
PROTHONOTARY WARBLERS are showing nesting behaviours along Tilden’s Woods,
Shuster Trail, Woodland Trail, and DeLaurier Trail. 24 warbler species were
noted throughout the park today.

Outside the park, WHITE-FACED IBIS, HUDSONIAN WHIMBREL (5), and
BLACK-BILLED CUCKOO are being seen at Hillman Marsh. Some AMERICAN WHITE
PELICANs have also been reported flying along the Point Pelee shoreline and
at Hillman Marsh.

Good birding,

Pete, Mark, and Felix
