Good morning birders,

It was a fine Spring morning, and the birding was fairly steady. More birds
seemed to be singing after the poor weather yesterday.
We have had about 23 species of Warblers reported.

At the Tip, a few shorebirds were noted including RUDDY TURNSTONE, and
BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER. A first summer LITTLE GULL was noted amongst the many
BONAPARTE'S GULLS. A late report of a LAUGHING GULL has come in, flying off
the Tip.

North of the Tip Woods, near the entrance from the main road into Sparrow
Field, a COMMON NIGHTHAWK was perched on a tree branch above the road. Just
nearby a pair of EASTERN BLUEBIRDS was noted, right along the road. We have
had a report of a CANADA WARBLER just south of the Sparrow Field. And in
the Sparrow Field a group reported a YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT.

Further up on the main road, a HOODED WARBLER was heard and seen. An
ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER was seen on the Redbud Trail.

On the Woodland Trail the PROTHONOTARY WARBLERS are still being noted
especially at bridge F. Also noteworthy was a YELLOW-THROATED VIREO in
those woods.

A PROTHONOTARY WARBLER was also seen at the first water on the Shuster
Trail. A SORA was also located there. People have just noted a BREWSTER'S
WARBLER (hybrid).

In Tilden Wood, a GOLDEN-WINGED WARBLER, was found near the north end of
the first seasonal trail.

CERULEAN WARBLER was found again at the Cactus Field.

Outside the Park a WILSON'S PHALAROPE was at Hillman Marsh in front of the
blind. About 1200 mixed group of shorebirds were on the East Beach gravel
bar. Up to 10 species were noted. It is at the north end of East Beach
Road.
