Good morning Birders, This morning was a good day as migration continues. With the southern winds we again had a good reverse migration movements. Many species were involved, namely residents such as the cardinals, blackbird sp, and so on. Also flocks of BLUE JAYS and CEDAR WAXWINGS. Also noted at the Tip were such species as a first summer LITTLE GULL, SANDERLING, RED-HEADED WOODPECKER, female SUMMER TANAGER, NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD, MEADOWLARK sp., and many warblers and other species. Farther north in Woodland Nature Trail a variety of warblers and other species were noted. A GOLDEN-WINGED WARBLER, several MOURNING WABLERS, YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOO, WILSON'S WARBLER, WHITE-EYED VIREO and CANADA WARBLER. A few BLACKPOLL WARBLERS have been noted from various places as well. We have had no reports yet from farther north in the Park, and there have been not sightings of the MISSISSIPPI KITE from yesterday.
