Visitors:
Some visitors to the site today. Thanks to Ken and Su for getting a count
done today.
Weather:
Winds were light from the N then backing around to NW then W and finally to
WSW by noon. Lots of clear blue skies in the early part of the count with
about 30% cloud cover building in. Temps started at 10C and got to a high
of 22C.
Raptor Observations:
A slower day today with just 47 birds tallied with mostly falcons...
including a nice look at one Peregrine just after 9:00 am bird time and
another just before 2:00 pm bird time.
Non-raptor Observations:
None reported today.
Predictions:
The forecast for Wednesday is a mix of sun and cloud but the key is the
moderate SW winds which MAY be enough to bring a few Peregrines along the
cliff. Given the winds are forecast to be SW along the entire length of the
Lake Erie shoreline this could be just what they're looking for to get a
free ride westward.
