Ontario Rare Bird Alert for the week starting June 24, 2022

GREEN-WINGED TEAL (EURASIAN) (Prescott and Russell): Jon Ruddy found a male
at Alfred Sewage Lagoons on June 28.

King Eider (Toronto): The young male that has been off Tommy Thompson Park
was reported to at least June 26.

LITTLE BLUE HERON (Waterloo): Ken Friesen photographed an adult at Huron
Natural Area in Kitchener on June 26.

BLACK-NECKED STILT (Middlesex): The two birds found by Bill Lindley at
Strathroy Sewage Lagoons on May 12 have successfully nested with their four
young hatching on June 24.

Lark Sparrow (Simcoe): The bird found by Scott Watson on June 14 at the
Packard Tract west of Barrie on June 14 was reported again (but is proving
mostly elusive) to at least June 27.

Kirtland's Warbler (Simcoe): Many observers enjoyed multiple individuals at
the Packard Tract west of Barrie this week. For details on site access,
