Further to Jeff's message below, the Marsh Sandpiper is present again today (latest confirmation was 11:45).

If you're able to volunteer some time but are not a user of discord, can you please let me know so we can coordinate with others? For insurance purposes, there needs to be an OFO member on site during viewing times. As long as enough  volunteers are available, more people will get to see this remarkable rarity.

At the moment, volunteers are still needed for today starting at 2:00, and for tomorrow starting at 11:00. Yesterday, people were arriving throughout the entire day including early evening.

For discord users who can volunteer, it's best if you can please indicate your availability on the channels that Jeff mentions below. Here's a link to the OFO Discord server http://ofo.ca/site/content/discord .

Thanks everyone.

Jack

Subject: [ONTBIRDS]Thedford lagoon access continues

Fantastic news. I just heard from Mayor Weber and we can continue to access
Thedford lagoons for the rest of the week or until the Marsh Sandpiper
leaves, whichever comes first. We will do it as we did today on Tuesday.
Susan Nagy and Diane Weiler have again volunteered their time to be on site
tomorrow morning at 8am to assist. We need some more volunteers so if
possible, please either offer your help in the Ontario-wide discord chat,
or on the OFO Rare Bird chat channel in the OFO discord server. I would
prefer if we could organize volunteers where others can see what times are
spoken for as I won’t be available for much of the day tomorrow. Thanks and
good luck to those who visit! If you stop in restaurants or at other local
businesses, tell people why you are visiting!

Good birding!

Jeff
