Observers:
Visitors:
Thanks to Ken for doing today's count.
Weather:
Another beautiful autumn day with lots of sunshine and temps ranging from a
cool 9C to a high of 16C. Winds were light from the ENE backing to SE.
Raptor Observations:
Not a big flight today but some good birds including yet another Black
Vulture, a single Peregrine and several Redtails and Red-shoulders.
Non-raptor Observations:
None reported today.
Predictions:
Thursday is looking quite good for hawk migration with fairly strong
updrafts forecast and buoyancy with less wind shear and a decent chance of
cumulus clouds forming. Skies should continue bright and sunny with winds
out of the N and backing to NNW and NW by early afternoon (and note the
winds are supposed to be northerly across the entire southern Ontario
region tomorrow).
