Good morning birders, Dawn birders witnessed a Pelee rarity this morning; sparse snowflakes falling after a cold night. The Tip was relatively dead and quiet except for a few flocks of BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS and numerous continuing BLAD EAGLES perched at the very tip of the sand spit. Tilden Woods had at least two RED-HEADED WOODPECKERS putting on a show, BLUE-WINGED WARBLERS and a HOODED WARBLER continue, and the PROTHONOTARY WARBLERS are scouting their usual spots (both at Tilden and Woodland Trails). After a night of unfavourable Northern winds and some rain, the park is relatively quiet, but the sun is finally coming and things are slightly birdier than yesterday!
