This fine morning we were greeted by an influx of birds to cheer the
birders. Both BALTIMORE ORIOLE and ORCHARD ORIOLE, INDOGO BUNTING,
ROSE-BREASTED WARBLER and others have started to move through. WILSON
WARBLER, MOURNING WARBLER, and MAGNOLIA WARBLER were also reported today.
A YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT has been reported from Anders Footpath between the
Cemetery and Tilden Woods.
There was a report of a PACIFIC LOON flying by the Tip this morning.
A SUMMER TANAGER was located at the north end of Tilden Woods, with several
SCARLET TANAGERS. Also seen up that way were HOODED WARBLER and BLUE-WINGED
WARBLER. BLUE-WINGED WARBLER was also noted on Redbud Trail.
A CLAY-COLORED SPARROW was spotted near the north end of the Centre parking
lot. PROTHONOTARY WARBLERS are still being seen at multiple wet spots on
the Woodland Trail and Tilden Woods.
A MARSH WREN was seen just north of the parking lot on the Centennial Trail.
About 15 species of wood warblers have been reported so far today.
