Good morning birders,
The rain overnight was welcome and as things dried up this morning there
was a lot of activity at the Tip.
An ACADIAN FLYCATCHER was noted coming in off the lake and actively feeding
at the Tip. Also seen at the Tip, a SUMMER TANAGER was reported. A lot of
wood warblers and vireos were quite actively feeding in the woods near the
Tip including NORTHERN PARULA, BLACK-THROATED BLUE, WILSON'S, CAPE MAY,
several PHILADELPHIA VIREOS, and others. At the Tip early for the second
day an adult LAUGHING GULL was on the sand. The continuing MISSISSIPPI KITE
was seen from the Visitor Center this morning as well.
We've heard good reports of both the Tilden, and the Woodland Nature Trail
being quite active as well with BLACKPOLL WARBLERS, and several continuing
PROTHONOTARY WARBLERS.

Good birding from your Friends of Point Pelee hike leaders Pete Read, Tim
Arthur, and Steve Pike!
