A brief Townsend Solitaire observation in Pine Grove; lots of searchers
could not turn up the bird again. Shorebird season draws to a close with
the usual suspects finalizing migration. And of course, geese everywhere to
sift through for rarities.

Greater White-fronted Goose (2) Nov 11-13 Carleton Place--Hwy 7 Storm Pond,
Lanark. (4) Nov 11 Moodie Drive Quarry, Ottawa.

Harlequin Duck - Oct 26-Nov 16, Pont Champlain, Gatineau. Female-type.
Lots of reports close to the Quebec side, often resting on rocks.

Pied-billed Grebe - Nov 10, Shirley's Bay (boat launch), Ottawa.

Barrow's Goldeneye - Adàwe Crossing to the Hurdman Bridge, Ottawa. (2)
