Observation start time: 06:30:00
Observation end  time: 15:00:00
Total observation time: 8.5 hours

Official Counter:        Tom Bolohan

Observers:        Ken Wootton, Su Ross-Redmond, Tom Stewart

Visitors:
Thanks to Tom B, Su, Ken and Tom S for helping do today's count.

Weather:
Winds started moderate from the NE but swung to ENE and finally to straight
E by the end of the count period. Temps started at 9C and got to a high of
20C with clear skies to start then clouding in through midday before
breaking out to almost clear again.  Pressure pretty much steady for the
day.

Raptor Observations:
A decent flight today with a total of 966 birds. The majority of today's
flight consisted of TVs (792) and Sharpies (96). Highlight today was 3 more
Golden Eagles! They also had a late Broad-winged Hawk and some nice Bald
Eagle flyovers.

Non-raptor Observations:
Only non-raptors reported today were a couple of flyby Sandhill Cranes.

Predictions:
The forecast is for a mix of NE to NW winds for the next few days which IF
IT HOLDS should really get the raptor migration moving and bring pretty
good flights down to the lake shores of Lake Ontario and Lake Erie.

Thermal updraft forecasts also appear good for tomorrow (Monday) with
values ranging from 400-500 ft per minute lift which will allow the birds
to kettle quickly and gain height without much effort. Fingers crossed.
