Observation end time: 13:30:00
Total observation time: 7.5 hours
Official Counter: Chris Burris
Observers: Jason McGuire, Ken Wootton, Tom Bolohan, Tom Stewart
Visitors:
Thanks to Tom x2, Ken, and Jason for spotting assistance in the challenging
sky.
Weather:
Layered wind -- weak NW gave way to weak to moderate NE. Temps ranged from
14C to 26C. A blanket of cloud burned away early on, leaving nothing but
blue sky, which made spotting and sharing sightings difficult.
Raptor Observations:
A respectable 501 birds in the clear skies, including Peregrine and
Red-shouldered singles.
Non-raptor Observations:
Loons were moving today, along with a striking group of 7 Common Ravens.
Other observers noted a few warblers. eBird list here:
https://ebird.org/checklist/S276182481
Predictions:
Winds are forecast to go from NE to SE to nil across the day, with little
cloud, so a similar -- but probably more modest -- flight is expected.
